Next meeting - in Romania

The next (and, unfortunately, last) meeting in the EDU-MONT project will be held in July 1 - 3, 2011, in Romania, in the Apuseni Mountains (Runcuri), Bihor County. You can find the place on Google Earth, here:

"Runcuri" lat=46.8462484984, lon=22.3957180327

The host institution will be Asociatia ARIN, coordinator of the project.

Alpinet

The best site for persons interrested by mountains in Romania, is the "Alpinet Project" - it started as a private project of some mountain lovers and, in a very short time, it became one of the most visited and used Romanian website.

http://www.alpinet.ro

It integrate also some discussion groups on e-mail. The site and the discussion groups were, along of the time, one of the best education tools for persons interrested by Romanian mountains, mountains environment and sustainable developement of mountain area - especially tourists. Also, it is one of the most friendly and active community in Romania.

Eurosite

... and a very good site with news and information about environment (especially biodiversity):

You cand find here announcements like this:

... that could be very useful for each partner in our project and for our beneficiaries, too ;)

European Mountain Forum

Another very interresting place is European Mountain Forum - I think that each of us (the partners in EDU-MONT) could join it, in order to offer better information and training for our stakeholders and... in order to countinuously improve our staff skills ;)

Needs Analysis Questionnaire - Target Group Identification

I have just posted online a needs analysis questionnaire which will allow the partners of the project to identify different educational needs in mountain areas in order to make mountains more attractive and respected by people who live in these areas and by visitors.
Please fill in the requested data to help us with the creation of material which can then be used efficiently by whoevere is interested in Mountains and their sustainability.

You can find the questionnaire by clicking here.
